Small Ones Farm, Llc
Amherst, Massachusetts
Welcome to Small Ones Farm, our family-owned 63-acre farm in South Amherst, Massachusetts. We use natural, earth-friendly and people-friendly farming techniques (no synthetic chemicals) to grow fruit, hay, vegetables and Christmas trees. When you taste our naturally grown peaches, pears, plums, berries, melons, garlic and over 40 varieties of apples, you are experiencing natural, local, family farming at its best. And, you gain the satisfaction that comes with supporting your local farmer. Our naturally grown hay is fed to cows, sheep, goats and other animals in our local community. Our hay helps those animals - and the food we get from them - to be free of synthetic chemicals. Our children’s programs help promote love and respect for the environment among young people, and help them gain an appreciation for the living system that is the source of their food. Our land is protected from development. Our goal is to achieve profitability without using industrial or conventional farming practices.(This listing was last updated on October 24, 2011)
