Frosted Hawk Farm
Bristol, Virginia
Frosted Hawk Farm began organic produce farming in the spring of 2007. Though the farm has been owned by the family since 1972, it was primarily used to raise cattle and grow tobacco prior to 2000. Then after seven years of inactivity, farming once again became the purpose of the old homestead. Beekeeping has been a family hobby for over 50 years. Having lost our bees during the winter, 10 new hives were added in the spring. In 2010 we have 5 acres under cultivation for produce. We also keep over 150 laying hens, pasture raised and fed on shelled corn (feed store purchased).
