Battle Creek Gardens (of Black Hills Health and Education Center) is a small-scale farm located about 6 miles outside of Hermosa, SD, just 20 minutes from Crazy Horse Monument and Mt. Rushmore. We market our produce through local food co-ops, local restaurants, farmers markets and our Community Supported Agriculture program. Specializing in vegetables, herbs, melons and berries. We offer a farm internship starting late April/May and ending mid-late Oct. Offering a hands-on approach to market gardening, growing a high diversity of produce with sustainable practices. We do cover cropping, use sea water for minerals and work hard to nurture the healthy life in our soil.
