We produced a ton (16oo lbs) of food on an 1/8th of an acre in 2010 and hoping to reach a goal of 1800lbs this year. We use nutrient density growing techniques with the goal of producing "high brix" crops which correlate to high nutritional value. This year we are planning to use permaculture for perennial edibles and raising chickens for eggs. We sell our sustainably produced, biodynamically-influenced vegetable and herb seedlings where only the unusual and rare are sold. This was born out of a desire to get others to grow their own food so that everyone can eat locally. Seedlings can be pre-ordered on-line for pickup at the Palisades Farmers Market and Nyack Farmers Market during the month of May. Our produce is available to local chefs.
