Stanley, Virginia
Wildwood Gardens is a small vegetable, herb, and honeybee farm nestled on the southeastern slopes of the Massanutten Mountains, in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. We are committed to environmental and cultural sustainability - fostering and encouraging healthy relationships among humans and our ecosystems that provide food, water, shelter, and energy. Wildwood Gardens donates a portion of proceeds to non-profits working for a just and sustainable world. We use no synthetic chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or GMO's. Crop rotation, natural fertilizers, composting, mulching, and cover cropping are used to nourish the soil. Beneficial insects, well-provisioned wildlife habitat, and companion planting create a balanced system for our gardens. Many of our plant varieties are heirloom, open-pollinated treasures from our national and, indeed, natural heritage. We invite you to experience Wildwood Gardens!(This listing was last updated on July 24, 2011)
