Indian Creek Angus
Carnesville, Georgia
Our pastured cattle spend their lives grazing on the beautiful rolling grasslands of northeast Georgia. Grass-fed beef is high in Omega-3s, Vitamin E and C, conjugated linoleic acid, and beta carotene and has been proven to have a positive health impact on consumers. Buying locally-raised beef reduces reliance on fossil fuels and gives consumers a chance to meet their farmer neighbors. Meat is sold by hanging weight: the whole beef ($3.50/lb), a side ($3.75/lb), a quarter ($4.00/lb), an eighth ($4.25/lb), or a sixteenth ($4.50/lb). The hanging weight is the weight after slaughter and before cutting. The final product will be about 30-35% less weight than the hanging weight due to fluid loss and bone and gristle removal.
