Rock Run Creek Farm, a sustainable agricultural experience started in the spring of 2000 to raise chickens, ducks and geese for eggs, next lamb, goats, pigs and choice vegetable greens for food. Garlic, leeks, asparagus, mesclun and other salad mixes have become the signature of the farm. In the fall of 2003, we started oak log shiitake mushroom growing using trees harvested while implementing forest management on the farm. Rock Run Creek Farm continues to expand shiitake mushroom production through collaboration with forest management groups, loggers and other suppliers, for the natural oaks. Rock Run Creek Farm farming today, also evolving for tomorrow.
