Talon de Gato Farm, growers of specialty produce, nursery starts, and millers, and home of the Dixon Community Seed Exchange..... Talon de Gato Farm grows produce in the Embudo Valley of New Mexico, at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo range. Our water is snowmelt from the mountains, delivered to us by the ancient Acequia de Apodaca..... We specialize in less well known varieties, always seeking crops that perform in the field and on the plate! We introduced Shishito and Padron peppers to Santa Fe in 2003, and are the only source of Espelette peppers in the Southwest. Get yours from the growers that do them right..... With cold nights all summer our 500 rhubarb plants will satisfy your every need from spring through August. Big handsome leeks love our heavy soil..... In late spring look for our nursery starts of varieties carefully selected to perform locally. We have trialled them so you do not have to! We have pinned down the tomatoes that will fruit and ripen with cold nights, including rare Alla's Plum, World's Miracle, and trooper Stupice..... Enjoy freshly ground wholegrain blue cornmeal in all your recipes. We grind fresh weekly, and if you do not know the flavor of fresh wholegrain corn, you have a treat in store. And if you are a gluten refusenik, our mill is used exclusively for corn..... Find us at Santa Fe Farmers' market every Saturday from late April to early November, and in summer most Wednesday afternoons at Dixon Farmers' Market.
