Hand picking and have 1 1/2 acre pond producing leagues of toads which is very beneficial, and keeping garden weed free. Also have an abundance of ladybugs.

If a problem were to occur, infected plants would be removed and we would take steps recommended by organic standards.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. Our garden sets in the middle of 80 acres that we own. To the north, it is 1/4 mile to the road with heavily wooded areas all the way to road. To the east it is 3/8 mile to a hay field with heavy woods between. To the south it is 3/4 mile to the road, again with woods. To the west, 3/8 mile to road, again heavily wooded between.

You may use this space to tell us anything else you think we should know about your farm: With 80 acres, we do plan to expand on our 2 acres and have more land certified in the future. We do plan to have our soil tested immediately by Oklahoma State University or our local County Extension Office. If we have any deficiencies, we will treat soil with CNG approved amendments. We will aspire to produce the highest quality Certified Naturally Grown produce available. This is not our hobby, it is our lifestyle.
