Shingletown, California
Hillman Farms is a small (12 acre) sustainable family farm located off of Black Butte Road about 9 miles West of Shingletown proper. We pride ourselves in growing non-genetically modified or hybrid seeds, in using the least amount of fossil fuels and of only using manures and plants within our immediate vicinity. We are passionate about good home-grown food! Most of our produce and meats are consumed by the family (there are 8 of us) however we want to share our bounty with as many people as possible, those who cannot grow their own food due to space restrictions etc. We are active in the Mountain Growers Association, are members of the Shasta Growers Association and the Cottonwood Creek Watershed Group. We often donate produce to families in our area and to the Good News Rescue Mission in Redding, CA. So.....GROW IT, EAT IT, LOVE IT!!!(This listing was last updated on September 19, 2011)
