We are a small, working, family farm in the Tyus community just outside Bowdon, Ga. We raise animals and grow over fifty varieties of vegetables and herbs using organic, sustainable and environmentally friendly methods. We strive to be good stewards of our land and livestock, educate others about the importance of local sustainable farms, and provide opportunities for you to experience farm life through our open farm days, tours, and workshops. Being a family farm, we work together to raise the animals, manage the pastures, grow the vegetables, prepare & preserve our vegetables, make jams & jellies, organize and host farm tours & events, and work the booths at markets. We home school our three children and farm full time. It is a life of learning and a labor of love! We pride ourselves on providing clean LOCAL foods that we believe are the freshest, tastiest, and healthiest for our families and communities. Because of this, we produce and sell the following products: Pasture Raised Chicken, Grass Fed/Finished Beef, Pasture Raised Pork, Pasture Raised Eggs, Pasture Raised Rabbits, Naturally grown Vegetables and Herbs, Sweet Pickles, Bread & Butter Pickles, Pickled Carrots, Pickled Okra, and Jams & Jellies. We also sell a variety of handmade items and, in the entrepreneurial spirit, our children make handmade potholders and chopped fire starter, all of which are nice gifts. We grow over 50 varieties of seasonal vegetables & herbs using organic and sustainable methods. We produce a bounty of flavorful, healthy food and are well known by our market customers for our delicious cabbage, flavorful cauliflower, and juicy tomatoes! Vegetables we grow include beets, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, butter beans, cantaloupes, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, collards, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, green beans, kale, lettuce, okra, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, rutabagas, spinach, squash, strawberries, swiss chard, tomatoes, watermelon, basil, cilantro, chives, dill, lavender, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary, and more...
