E.J. Schoolyard Garden

Our "Community Team" consists the: Borough of Ship Bottom, Borough of Surf City, Long Beach Island Board of Education, Long Beach Island Education Association, Long Beach Island PTA, Long Beach Island Health Department and Rutgers Extension Master Gardeners. Our "Digging in the Dirt" project's focus is on healthy eating and increased physical activity. Plant-based education is cross-curricular and can easily be utilized in nutrition, science, mathematics, language arts, social studies, instructional technology, physical education, art and music. This year's garden additions include: a weather station,garden sink, hoop houses, asparagus and strawberries. Thank you LBICSD and Donors Choose!
