Limestone, Tennessee
Second Chance farm was started in 2005 from scratch, on land that had been cattle farmed and with a long history of being "used" for tobacco and corn. Produce is grown on only a small portion of the land, with larger fields currently growing mixed clover/grass hay for square baling or being left fallow for wildlife. Many wild/native plants grow here that can be harvested for food including Persimmons, Magenta LambsQuarters, Elderberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, & Black Walnuts. We try to listen to and do what is best for the land, and to be as self-sufficient as possible.(This listing was last updated on September 19, 2011)
