CNG farmers know how to be there for one another in times of need.
You too can chip in! Our community has established two funds that give farmers a break on their certification dues so they can invest more in growing their farm. Donations to CNG support the growth of community-based sustainable agriculture and are not tax deductible.
Grassroots Fund
The Grassroots Fund was established to lower the cost of CNG certification for beginning farmers, those hit by unusual hardship, such as extreme weather or physical injuries, and others who have difficulty paying the minimum dues required for CNG certification. Where does the money come from? Primarily donations from other CNG farmers, and people like you. If you’re able, please chip in! Thanks very much for your support.
Equity Fund
CNG’s Equity Fund was established to cover certification dues for farmers of color who have applied to Certified Naturally Grown. Facilitating their success as farmers by waiving their certification dues is one small step we can take to help overcome a legacy of discrimination throughout North America, especially in US agriculture. Priority consideration is given to Black and Indigenous people.
Grow CNG Fund
The Grow CNG Fund helps to expand our reach and the value we bring to the farmers who participate. It makes possible initiatives like raising awareness of CNG, increasing customer demand for our certification, and expanding the number of farmers who participate. Thousands of farmers – and even more savvy shoppers – would be delighted to learn about CNG. Your gift to the Grow CNG Fund will help us reach them.
