Gowin Valley Farms is a small family farm in Rocky Face, Georgia started in 1964 and now specializes in sustainable and all-natural indoor-grown gourmet mushrooms. In April of 2021, we began a partnership with Kennesaw State University and Cornell University for an indoor mushroom research grant funded by the USDA/GA Dept. of Agriculture Specialty Block Crop Research Grant program. We recently have begun working with other institutions on other research projects such as the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a few others in the pipeline.

We also work with local universities like the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for student and master’s level research internships. We feel it is imperative to our business goals to be transparent about our processes and to represent our products with certifications like Certified Naturally Grown.

We focus on research-driven mushroom fruiting and do our entire process from spores to fruiting in-house. Through USDA Grants & federal support, we dive into mycological wonders, exploring everything from food science to sustainable practices, mushroom growth technology and more. At Gowin Valley Farms, it’s not just about growing mushrooms; it’s about growing understanding. We provide educational events and opportunities to show how our hands-on approach, certified natural practices & community-focused initiatives yield not just mushrooms but a fresher, healthier & more sustainable lifestyle for everyone. From spore to fruiting, Gowin Valley Farms brings you mushrooms with a purpose, backed by research that matters.
