Black Dog Bees and Maple Trees is a family-owned and operated local business featuring artisan honey, bee husbandry, and maple products. We also farm mushrooms, sell eggs from our flock of Icelandic chickens, and offer cut flowers at local markets. All of production is CNG certified.
Viking Made Forge is our sister business where we produce functional-art metalwork, specializing in hand-forged cutlery and utensils, as well as custom and commissioned traditional ironwork.
All of our products are produced at our 30-acre property in Lebanon, NH. Through careful implementation of silvoculture practices, we have gently worked with the trees and soils to create an apiary, construct a post and beam sugar house and blacksmith shop, and manage our sugarbush to foster the health of our maple trees.
We market primarily via social media and word-of-mouth. During the warmer months we sell our products at farmers markets.
We offer on-site and remote educational and instructive classes on bee husbandry.
