Including Community Stakeholders at Inspections

Community members now have the option to observe a CNG farm’s annual inspection, and be an official part of the certification process! This new effort has many benefits:

  • Farmers develop stronger ties with the community
  • Observers gain rare behind-the-scenes view of a farm
  • Farmers have flexibility with the “No repeat inspectors” rule
  • Observers witness discussions among knowledgeable farmers
Everyone can get involved, including folks like farmers market managers, teachers, faith leaders, postmasters, pitmasters, and just about anyone in between!
We are prioritizing GEMs markets in our outreach and matchmaking efforts.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity!
